Blood Donor Challenge

Since 2000, the Calgary Corporate Blood Donor Challenge has saved 200,000 lives!
In 2008, 7607 participants visited blood donor clinics through Calgary Corporate Challenge. Each donation can improve or save up to three lives, meaning that last year we benefited over 20,000 people! Each year, our donations help people who need blood products during treatment of conditions such as cancer, trauma, burns and anaemia. We're aiming for 7,700 donations and 1000 new donors in 2009.
Employees, family & friends can help build Canada's blood supply by participating in the Calgary Corporate Blood Donor Challenge. A plaque will be awarded to the company in each division that logs the largest number of blood donors over the four-month period. Companies will receive 2 points for participating, and points will be added to your overall score for 1st - 6th place. This event is not restricted to employees. Therefore, blood donations by family and friends will count for your company.
