Blood Donor Challenge

April 14th to September 8th, 2011

In 2010, 6,301 participants visited blood donor clinics throughout the city, and 570 new donors gave blood, plasma or platelets. Each donation can improve or save up to three lives, meaning that this year we have benefited over 20,000 people!

Employees, family & friends can help build Canada's blood supply by participating in the Calgary Corporate Blood Donor Challenge. A plaque will be awarded to the company in each division that logs the largest number of blood donors over the four-month period. Companies will receive 2 points for participating, and points will be added to your overall score for 1st - 6th place. This event is not restricted to employees. Therefore, blood donations by family and friends will count for your company.
