Scoring

All teams will receive two (2) points for each event in which they participate, including all sporting events, *ATCO Gas Torch Relay, Canadian Blood Services Blood Donor Challenge, Heart&Stroke Foundation Big Bike Challenge, KidSport Calgary Adopt-An-Athlete. Points are awarded when your company registers for an event on the On-line Database. Teams can make changes or withdraw from events WITH NO PENALTY ON/BEFORE June 30, 2010.

Teams that DEFAULT/ NO SHOW from scheduled events will also LOSE five (-5) and TEN (-10) POINTS respectively. Click here for details.

Teams who sign-up for the Canadian Blood Services Blood Donor Challenge, Heart&Stroke Foundation Big Bike Challenge and/or the KidSport Calgary Adopt-An-Athlete but do not participate will not lose their participation points (-2).

Teams who sign-up for the CEO Passport Challenge but do not pick up their Passport or Game Board during the games will lose their participation points (-2).

Teams who sign-up for the Game Board and do not pick up their Game Board and stickers
at the Kick-Off Pep Rally or Family Day, will be treated as a NO SHOW and they will lose ten
(-10) points on their overall score.

Team points will be awarded for placing in events as follows:

Non-Pool Play Events

1st Place 10 points
2nd Place 8 points
3rd Place 6 points
4th Place 5 points
5th Place 3 points
6th Place 1 point

Pool Play Events

1st Place 10 points
2nd Place 8 points
3rd Place 6 points
4th Place 5 points
5th Place 1 point **
** In pool play format, four teams will end up tied for 5th place in the standings after the single elimination finals. In this case, one point is awarded to each of the four teams.

CEO Challenge is scored on a scale:

60-71 8 points
50-59 6 points
40-49 5 points
30-39 3 points

The company with the most team points in their division wins the overall divisional championship. Second and Third place divisional trophies are also awarded.

ATCO Gas Torch Relay

All teams that register for this event will be able to run a leg and they will recieve two (2) points to your overall team score. Team spirit will be rewarded amongst the torch runners, so bring your spirit squad & your Close Encounters of the Sporting Kind costumes out to cheer on your runners!
